Spells in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Many Harry Potter fans are speculating about what might be seen in the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile game. We’re digging into the spells that may show up and what they might be used for!

Common Spells In The Wizarding World

Some spells come to mind almost immediately when we think of Harry Potter. Here are a few of those spells, and how they might show up in the Harry Potter mobile game. While there isn’t a lot of information about how spells might be used in the game, we can speculate!

Expelliarmus

There are few who aren’t familiar with Expelliarmus, as it’s a commonly-used spell in the Harry Potter books and movies. This one is highly likely to be used in duel, causing wands to fly from the hands of those players may be dueling.

Wingardium Leviosa

Wingardium Leviosa is a spell used to lift objects or people into the air. This one could potentially lend itself to the Harry Potter game in an obvious way, like lifting objects nearby to throw in combat. On the other hand, it may just be a useful tool in finding magical objects.

Lumos

When you’re in need of a light in a dark space, Lumos is the spell you’ll want to use. This might be used as a way to allow yourself to see clues, find renegade magic in dark places or perhaps even during combat with your foes.

Accio

Accio is a relatively simple spell that is used to bring things to you that aren’t within reach. In the context of the game, we may see Accio used when your wand is knocked away from you during battles with creatures or duels with other wizards.

Other Well-Known Spells

There are a vast number of other recognizable spells that we may look forward to seeing in the Harry Potter mobile game. From Riddikulus to Alohappear in the game and how they are used. At this point, some kind of leveling system with increased spell abilities would be an interesting possibility, but that remains to be seen!

The Unforgivable Curses

An aspect that many are curious about is whether or not the Unforgivable Curses will show up in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. While they are considered illegal in the wizarding world, it’s worth wondering whether or not some enemies might try to use these spells on the player.

The Unforgivable Curses include Imperius, Cruciatus and Avada Kedavra. Naturally, the worst of these is Avada Kedavra, which is known to cause an immediate death to whoever it is cast on. Following this, the Cruciatus Curse is used for the purposes of torture, creating extreme levels of pain without actually causing any harm on a physical level. Finally,  the Imperius curse offers the ability of mind control.

If they are included in the game, these curses could make for an interesting, if difficult, form of battle. It is unclear at this point if they will show up in the Harry Potter game when it is released. Regardless, we greatly look forward to seeing how other spells are employed!
