With the release of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite somewhere on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about the profession you want to play. At this point, it’s known that there will be Aurors, Magizoologists and Professors.
For those who are looking to take charge in the wizarding world, the Auror is a prime option. Let’s dive into how this profession can spice up your gameplay in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
What Is An Auror?
If you’ve read the books or watched the movies, you certainly would have been subjected to a number of Aurors including Mad-Eye Moody and even Harry Potter himself. These battle-ready characters are essentially a combination of magical detectives and special ops.
Taking on the task of tracking down dangerous witches and wizards and bringing them into custody, Aurors have to be able to deal damage. Because of this, they are designed to carry the attack power whereas other professions have focuses in other areas. If you want your focus to be in combat, then you may want to consider this profession.
Auror Profession Benefits and Setbacks
Due to their high level of training and intense skills, Aurors are the profession that is capable of handing out the most damage. They thrive against battling a category of enemies known as “Dark Forces”, which are made up of beings like Death Eaters and werewolves. Overall, this is a profession known for their high levels of power, including critical power, and their precision capabilities.
That said, all professions need to have their downfalls in order to keep things balanced. Aurors receive setbacks when it comes to fighting beasts. They are also lacking in protego power, accuracy, stamina, defense and max focus. Finally, they end up having to use a lot of health potions as they cannot heal themselves.
Major Skills And Spells For Aurors
While Aurors may not have the most scrolls or skills, they do receive plenty of them. In this profession, you can obtain up to 2,537 scrolls and 439 spell books. Additionally, you’ll have 138 points available to you as you level up your character, allowing you to choose special skills.
Within the skill tree for Aurors, you can essentially choose to either boost the strengths that your character already has or try to boost your weak points. As you make it through the skill tree, you’ll be able to choose from great skills like “The Weakening Hex”, which can make your enemy less powerful or “Self Reflection”, which allows for some huge boosts to your critical power.
Aurors Vs. Other Professions
When choosing your profession, it’s important to think about your playing style. If you see yourself typically playing solo, then this is going to be a solid profession choice. You can think of Aurors as your tank, whereas Magizoologists tend to take on the role of healers and professors handle support.
Ultimately, you may need to team up as you get further along in order to cover the weaknesses all of the professions have. That said, the Auror is king when it comes to hanging in there on your own for as long as possible.
